Cambio Open Services (COS) is an ecosystem for digital innovations, an open platform that will promote closer collaboration and innovation through facilitating secure and robust integrations between Cosmic and external third-party applications.

Cosmic is an electronic journal system that is used daily by 8 Swedish regions and by Capio St Göran hospital. Another 9 regions are about to implement Cosmic, which means that Cosmic will soon be used in 17 out of 21 Swedish regions.

The COS platform runs on Red Hats OpenShift-plattfrom. Cambio and their end customers place high demands on reliability with an availability requirement of 99.95%.

In Cambio's search for an operation and deployment partner with experience in Red Hat OpenShift, they came into contact with Binero (formerly Redbridge).

An managed OpenShift in the customers unique IT infrastructures with high security and availability requirements became the solution to the challenge.

Cambio Open Services (COS) is operated on local customer infrastructure. The regions is responsible for providing the infrastructure. Binero is responsible for installing, configuring and managing OpenShift while Cambio is responsible for installing, configuring and operating COS.

The proposed solution is a product of great efforts from all parties, where high demands in combination with complex and customer-unique infrastructures were a major challenge.

The hard work has resulted in Cambio being able to deliver its services to end customers in a flexible and secure manner. Despite high demands from all parties. The collaboration with Binero applies to the operation of Cambio Open Services ("COS") on Binero's container platform, which is based on open source code from Red Hat.

An example of what the COS application can achieve is that the healthcare provider can connect from the ambulance and collect patient data, for example from a medical record. This gives the healthcare staff the right conditions to be able to provide the right care to the patient at an early stage.
