Cambio Open Services (COS) is an ecosystem for digital innovations, an open platform designed to promote closer collaboration and innovation by facilitating secure and robust integrations between Cosmic and external third-party applications.
Cosmic is an electronic health record system used daily by 8 Swedish regions and Capio St Görans hospital. Another 9 regions are in the process of implementing Cosmic, which means Cosmic will soon be used in 17 of 21 Swedish regions.
The COS platform runs on Red Hat's OpenShift platform. Cambio and their end users have high demands regarding reliability with an availability requirement of 99.95%.

Binero had the capacity and competence to carry out our launch of Cambio Open Services through their ability to manage many different IT environments with unique requirements. The COS application is operated in the end user's environment.

A managed OpenShift in the customer's unique IT infrastructures with high demands on security and availability became the solution to the challenge.
Cambio Open Services (COS) is operated on local customer infrastructure. The region is responsible for providing the infrastructure. Binero is responsible for installation, configuration and management of OpenShift while Cambio is responsible for installation, configuration and operation of COS.
The proposed solution is the result of great efforts from all parties, where high demands combined with complex and unique customer infrastructures posed a great challenge.
The hard work has resulted in Cambio being able to deliver its services to end customers in a flexible and secure manner. Despite high demands from all parties. The collaboration with Binero concerns the operation of Cambio Open Services ("COS") on Binero's container platform, which is based on open source from Red Hat.
An example of what the COS application can achieve is that the healthcare provider can connect from the ambulance and collect patient data, for example from a medical record. This gives healthcare staff the right conditions to be able to provide the right care to the patient at an early stage.
There is an increased demand for digitalisation within the healthcare sector, and we are very proud to help Cambio provide solutions for safer patient care and smoother processes for healthcare providers.
