Binero's data centre is ready for the next wave of AI

There have recently been reports of data centres struggling to meet the capacity demands from AI companies [1] [2] – we at Binero want to respond to this, as we have not seen any signs of this problem in our data centre. Our modern data centre is well equipped to meet both current and future requirements for cooling and power supply.

Binero's data centre, Binero STO1, has been built from the ground up to meet all the challenges that data centres face, from security to capacity. All systems – network, power and cooling – are also built with double redundancy. Below, Emil Waldersten, CTO, explains how our data centre is designed to handle even the heaviest loads.

Capacity shortage? Not with us – Here's how we respond to AI loads

At Binero, we have designed our data centre, Binero STO1, to meet and exceed the highest demands for capacity and efficiency. Previous GPU-intensive technology trends have already tested our infrastructure, and now as AI technology grows, we see similar needs for robust solutions. Our data centre has been built from the ground up to handle these shifting technological demands, and we are far from reaching capacity limits.

As standard, we guarantee our customers access to both power and cooling capacity up to 44 kW per rack. Power supply, cooling and network systems are all redundant according to level A+B, which means we have two separate systems, each capable of running the entire data centre on its own.

Our power supply comes from two separate regional grids, ensuring continuous operation thanks to significant redundancy in the system. A third grid is available, but the need has not yet arisen. Transformation from high to low voltage takes place locally on the property, enabling incredible power resources. Our cooling systems are designed to handle the extensive heat loads generated by intensive loads, such as training AI models. Of course, it is also reassuring to know that all heat is recycled through the local district heating network!

Our infrastructure is not only built to meet today's needs – it is built to be a reliable partner for tomorrow's challenges as well.

AktivBo, a data-driven knowledge and platform company in the real estate industry, uses Binero's public cloud to manage large data volumes with AI. Binero's cloud service provides AktivBo with the computing power needed to effectively train and operate machine learning models. AktivBo not only meets its immediate needs but also strategically develops advanced AI capabilities for the future.

At Binero, we are not just ready for today's demands. We work hard to always be one step ahead in technology and innovation. It is important to us not only to solve the problems of today but also those that may arise tomorrow – for our colocation customers and users of our Public Cloud. We are committed to sustainability and efficiency so our customers can grow and use the latest technology without encountering obstacles. In short, Binero is here to support and drive the technology of the future, today.
