Privacy policy and other policies

This page explains how Binero collects and uses your personal data. It also provides information about your rights in this regard and how you can exercise them. Binero always takes the utmost care to respect your privacy and handles your personal data with great care and attention.

What is personal data and what is the processing of personal data?

Personal data is any information that can be used, directly or indirectly, to identify a living individual. This may include names and personal identification numbers, but may also encompass, for example, photographs, email addresses, IP addresses and descriptions.

The General Data Protection Regulation (commonly referred to as the ‘GDPR’) applies, in principle, to all automated processing of personal data (in simple terms, all digital processing of personal data). In certain cases, it also applies to the manual processing of personal data. The collection, recording, organisation, storage, processing and transmission of personal data are examples of such processing.

Important documents for you as a customer

We have compiled a list of important documents here that apply to you as a Binero customer in relation to the GDPR.

Binero as the data controller

We act as the data controller for you as a customer, but also as a representative for customers and users, as well as for the data you provide when registering for our services. This means that we assume the responsibilities under the GDPR that apply to data controllers regarding the processing of your personal data. Our customers may, in turn, act as data controllers for the information they collect and store in our services, in which case our role is that of a data processor for our customers. On the “Data Protection Policy” page, you will find all the information that applies to you as a registered user with us.

Binero as legal counsel

For you or your customers who, in turn, store personal data in our services, we act as a data processor. This is something that is particularly important for you as a customer to keep track of, and as a data controller or processor, you must ensure that you have an agreement (data processing agreement) in place. We have drawn this up in collaboration with our legal partners, and it is a data processing agreement that applies to all our customers.

Trained and knowledgeable staff

We have cutting-edge expertise and supplier/system support to ensure we stay up to date and actively work to comply with the GDPR regulations, whilst also striving to make this process easier for our customers.

Certifications

We are certified to the ISO 9001 quality management standard, the ISO 14001 environmental management standard and the ISO 27001 information security standard, and have met the stringent requirements regarding procedures, processes and various systems set out in these standards.

Other

Further important information on how we comply with the GDPR, both as a data processor and a data controller, can be found in our data protection policy and in the annex to our data processing agreement, which describes how we process personal data in our capacity as a data processor. For any other questions, please refer to the Swedish Data Protection Authority (IMY), which provides excellent information and guidance on working with the GDPR.
