a powerful local platform for public cloud

Our public cloud is the local alternative and complement to global hyperscalers. We build on the open platform OpenStack and provide market-leading performance at a very favorable price point. With us, you only pay for resources you actually use (measured per minute - billed per hour), and can increase or decrease resources at any time - or completely shut down your involvement if the need ceases.

Our cloud platform is built and developed for the hybrid landscape and multi cloud environments. If you want to combine our public cloud with other services, such as other providers' services, our colocation or our managed cloud services, it will of course be fine.

frequently asked questions

Why should I use a public cloud?

A public cloud is often the least investment-intensive choice, as you as a user and customer can easily start small and build your way up without start-up costs for infrastructure or the like. It's also extremely flexible and scalable – you can easily scale up or down in performance and space as your needs change.

Another advantage is that you yourself do not need to have any in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure to be able to manage a public cloud, but can leave everything to your provider who also keeps the platform up-to-date and competitive so that you can instead focus on your core business.

What is OpenStack?

OpenStack has grown to become the world's most widely used open source cloud platform. As one of the three most actively developed open source projects on the planet, it brings together thousands of developers from over 180 countries. Companies that are usually competitors in the market thus work together in a community, to find the best joint solution for their customers. With this you can avoid being in the hands of a single supplier and completely dependent on the supplier's decisions.

OpenStack offers everything you need for a cloud infrastructure. The same software meets the needs of everything from small start-ups to large global organizations. You can create and manage your virtual infrastructure with advanced functionality and capabilities. You can provision virtual machines, virtual storage blocks, virtual networks connecting them, virtual load balancers, virtual routers…

All with the help of an open API that enables you to automate the entire process. And if you don't want to automate, you just use the GUI, the user interface, to do exactly what you want.

Why is there so much talk about containers and kubernetes?

Today, software development must happen faster and faster to be able to keep up with business requirements. You are expected to keep pace with, or even surpass, your competition. Containers and Kubernetes speed up your development process by making the application more modular. Applications built as microservices are easier to manage because each module is relatively simple, and changes can be made to modules without requiring changes to the underlying architecture of the entire application. Kubernetes also gives you a very efficient way to maintain the application when it goes into production, as well as an easy way to upgrade and scale it as needed.

With Kubernetes, you can easily move your container-based applications across multiple clouds and environments, which enables greater flexibility and freedom of choice. You will build cloud-native applications that can run anywhere! Kubernetes can then easily scale to meet the needs of even the fastest growing application.

What advantages does a multi-cloud solution provide?

Multi-cloud is exactly what it sounds like: instead of just choosing a single provider for your entire business needs, multicloud means you use a mix of services from two or more cloud providers and split workloads between them. In this way, you can choose and adapt services based on which offer the greatest flexibility, reliability, functions and price.

For many organizations, the "one-size-fits-all" solutions of the major cloud platforms are rarely the optimal choice for all parts of the business. However, it may be the right choice for a certain department or function, while completely different solutions may be needed for other departments or types of data (for example for cloud storage of personal data, where legislation such as GDPR requires that data may not be stored with companies with residence outside Sweden's or the EU's borders). You can also get access to niche functions at the smaller players, which the big ones either do not offer as standard or charge more for as an additional service.
