Show 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship

EzyStream offers the Ice Hockey World Championship together with Viaplay

On 9 May, hockey is coming home!
It has been 12 years since the last time, and now it is finally time for another Ice Hockey World Championship on home ice. Back in 2013, Tre Kronor won gold after defeating Switzerland in the final. This year's tournament starts on 9 May and ends with the final in a packed Avicii Arena on Sunday 25 May. The group stage will be played in Stockholm (Group A) and Herning in Denmark (Group B), followed by the entire playoffs except for two quarter-finals in Stockholm. All matches in Stockholm will be played at the Avicii Arena.

The matches will be broadcast on TV6, TV10 and Viaplay.

Group A (Stockholm):
Sweden, Finland, Canada, Slovakia, Slovenia, Austria, France and Latvia

Group B (Herning):
Denmark, USA, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Norway, Kazakhstan and Germany.

Below is the schedule for Tre Kronor's group stage matches:
9 May, 20:20: Sweden-Slovakia
10 May, 16:20: Sweden-Austria
12 May, 20:20: Finland-Sweden
14 May, 20:20: Latvia-Sweden
16 May, 20:20: Sweden-Slovenia
17 May, 16:20: France-Sweden
20 May, 20:20: Sweden-Canada

We will update the page with Tre Kronor's squad as soon as that information is available. But immediately after winning bronze in Prague last year, several of the NHL pros announced that they wanted to be part of a World Championship on home turf. So don't be surprised if Tre Kronor goes for gold with a truly star-studded line-up!

How does showing TV in public work?
To show TV content in public, you need a licence that gives you the right to do so. This is sometimes referred to as a viewing agreement, broadcasting rights or licence agreement, but it all means the same thing – giving you the right to show TV in public. This applies to all commercial activities, including various businesses such as hotels, restaurants, offices and event venues.
