Frequently asked questions and answers
What licence is required to show television at the company?
You need a licence that gives you the right to show television in a public environment. This is sometimes referred to as a viewing agreement, viewing rights or licence agreement, but it all means the same thing: giving you the right to show television in public.
Why do we need a licence to watch television?
Without a licence agreement, it is not permitted to show television in public/institutional environments such as hotels, offices, restaurants, bars, gyms, schools, hospitals and military facilities. The licence grants you the right to show television in public. However, showing television without an agreement is a violation of copyright law and may result in a penalty fee.
Where can I find information about what can and cannot be displayed in public places?
If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us at Binero.
Can we obtain a licence for individual events such as the Champions League final?
For most events, a corporate subscription is required to obtain the right to show them publicly. This is something we at Binero can of course help with.
However, there are exceptions, such as the European Championships and World Cup in football and the Eurovision final, which can be purchased via a one-off licence.
If you have any requests or questions about hosting a special event, please contact us at Binero for more information.
